Family Law Service Provider
As a Family Legal Service Provider (FLSP) authorized by the Law Society of Ontario, we are licensed to offer legal services in specific, defined areas of family law — giving clients a more accessible and affordable option than retaining a lawyer for straightforward matters.
What is an FLSP?
The FLSP licence was created by the Law Society of Ontario to expand access to justice in family law. It allows specially trained and licensed paralegals to assist clients directly with a defined set of family law matters, without needing to retain a lawyer. FLSPs complete additional accredited training beyond standard paralegal licensing and are authorized and regulated by the Law Society of Ontario the same way lawyers and paralegals are.
This makes family law help more accessible for people dealing with straightforward, uncontested matters, while ensuring the work is still done by a licensed, insured, and accountable professional.

Within our authorized scope
- Joint and uncontested divorce applications, where both parties reside in Canada and the matter does not involve a claim for property or corollary relief
- Motions to change child support, where income can be determined from a straightforward T4 or line 15000 income figure
- Responding to Family Responsibility Office (FRO) support enforcement proceedings, within the same income scope
- Preparing and filing domestic contracts
- Change of name applications
- General process navigation and document guidance in family court matters
Outside our authorized scope
- Contested divorces and claims for corollary relief
- Annulments, or matters where a party resides outside Canada
- Division of property or the matrimonial home
- Spousal support claims
- Child protection matters
- Child support involving special or extraordinary expenses, self-employment, or complex income

If your matter turns out to fall outside FLSP scope, we’ll tell you plainly and can refer you to a family law lawyer.
